Aparna Pappu is Vice President and General Manager of Google Workspace, the world's most popular productivity tools. With over 3 billion users, Google Workspace includes Gmail, Chat, Meet, Docs, Drive, and much more, all to meaningfully connect people so they can easily create, build and grow together. Aparna leads the fast-growing global business across strategy, product development, and engineering to deliver helpful communication and collaboration solutions to millions of customers across businesses, schools, and industries of all sizes. Aparna has deep roots at Google and in technology and building products. Before joining Google Workspace as VP of Engineering in 2018, she spent a decade leading the development and growth of Google’s state-of-the-art ads publisher platform. Aparna is recognized as a leader who consistently elevates the technical excellence of the products she oversees while always putting the user first. Prior to Google, she led innovative work in video distribution systems, receiving five patents in the field. Aparna grew up in Pune, India and received a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Pune Institute of Computer Technology and a Master’s degree in Computer Science at Georgia Tech. Aparna lives with her family in New York City.
