Mark Karpelès is an French entrepreneur best known as the former-CEO of Mt.Gox and founding member of the Bitcoin Foundation. During his career at Mt.Gox, Karpelès handled over 70% of all Bitcoin transactions at its peak in early 2014 before suffering a malicious cyber attack. In the following years, Karpelès advocated for a civil rehabilitation process, which provided users with fairer recovery terms. Since then, Karpelès has worked on his reconstitution by serving as a technology advisor to forward thinking innovations in cyber security and blockchain technology.
